The new Dwell show home is due for completion in August 2015.

The QUBE modular design is built on TC3 land - a neat 460m2 section with a narrow eleven metre street front, the house is cleverly detailed to maximise available space and utilises an innovative structural engineering design for the foundation. Environmentally sensitive, timber clad and with all the architectural detailing associated with Dwell Homes, the new showhome demonstrates a new approach to rebuilding in Canterbury.

My decision to develop a house with Dwell Homes was influenced by the clever use of timber trusses to provide large open living spaces without the need for steel. Dwell Homes' intelligent use of full height windows and doors created the illusion of extra volume and space. From the conceptual design phase right through to practical completion was a satisfying experience and has given me the confidence to repeat the process in the near future.
